Mäkäräinen is undoubtedly the most influential Bullmastiff still alive and showing in my breeding program. She lives with her daughter Mytty at Saara's, and her ownership was transferred to Saara after her litter by Raptor. Initially Mäkäräinen was supposed to be a stud fee puppy and was scheduled to travel to her sire's owner in Sicily. Due to COVID traveling was made difficult, and the sire's owner was kind enough to sell Mäkäräinen back to me. The rest is history. I had lost my dam line earlier. Mäkäräinen's dam is by Litmanen (Ch Bullberry Strongbark at Miluna), out of a grand daughter of Mörkö (Ch Bullberry Ichabod), thus the line is still there, although not a direct dam line. However the dam line of Mäkäräinen and my original dam line go both back to Ch Colom Florin. Mäkäräinen produced in her first litter by Ch Elias von DC-13 Vepe (Ch Bullberry Cafe Latte). She is the only survivor, as we lost her sister at 3 months. Vepe has herself produced two Champion daughters we have had litters from. In her second litter of 8 by Raptor (Ch Remarkabull The One), she produced 5 Champions, of which I hope to breed two daughters: Ivy (Ch Bullberry Ornament of Nighteyes) and Mytty (Ch Bullberry Oxheart). At the time of writing this Mäkäräinen is 6.5 years old, healthy and happy. She is intelligent and friendly. She is still showing and winning, currently waiting for her CIB to be confirmed.
